A performing arts home that you won’t want to miss

A collection of images from dance, theater, the Maltz center, and the arts

Have you ever walked in a room and thought, “Wow. This is everything”? You know, that goosebump-feeling you have when you see something that’s truly extraordinary?

That’s what it’s like when you walk into Case Western Reserve University’s Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center at The Temple-Tifereth Israel. It’s high-tech. It’s stunning. It’s the kind of place that purposefully brings out the best in any performer. (And here at CWRU, many performers pursue their love of the arts, along with other interests, too! We have nearly 100 majors, minors and concentrations.)

The Maltz Center is a brand-new home for performing arts at CWRU. And its amenities are far beyond what you’ll see at most universities.

What’s in the Maltz Center?

  • The grand 250-seat Roe Green Proscenium Theatre, complete with an orchestra pit
  • A black box theater with 150 moveable seats
  • A high-tech scene shop with state-of-the-art equipment
  • A costume shop that any designer would envy

Whether your plans are to take center stage, to work behind the curtain to put on an unforgettable show, or just to enjoy a performance by your friends and classmates, you’re simply going to love the Maltz Center. You can start with a virtual tour here to see what I mean.
