The Case Western Reserve University Unity Banquet celebrates its 30th year Friday, April 18, 2020.
About the event
Unity Banquet is an annual celebration of the academic accomplishments of current and future Case Western Reserve students. The evening also serves as an opportunity to recognize future students and Case community partners.
Unity Banquet will be held at the Executive Caterers at Landerhaven. Diversity Weekend participants and their guests will be shuttled to the event, about 10 miles from the Case Western Reserve University Campus.
Seating begins at 6:30 p.m. The program will begin promptly at 7 p.m. In the days before the event, Diversity Weekend registrants will be asked to confirm the number of guests they expect to join for the banquet.
About the speaker
Each year, the program includes a keynote speech from a special guest.
This year’s presenter will be author, television host and political commentator Melissa Harris-Perry. For more than a decade, Harris-Perry has contributed to American public life through her distinct combination of scholarly analysis and extraordinary wisdom applied to the analysis of race, gender, politics and power.
