Science Café Cleveland presents
"Can we ESKAPE antibiotic resistance?"
APRIL 13, 2009
FEATURING:
Dr. Robert Bonomo
(Medicine and Pharmacology, CWRU)
and
(Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center)
EVENT INFORMATION:
Antibiotic resistance has reached serious proportions in the hospital and is now increasingly found in the community. While dire predictions about the "post-antibiotic era" are generally overblown, growing resistance to antibiotics has real potential to change the way medicine is practiced around the world. Successfully addressing this problem will require a clear-eyed, rational assessment of its causes and a willingness on the part of society to make difficult choices in the clinical setting.
Bring your questions and insights and join in the discussion with these experts from CWRU and the VA Medical Center!
