Sonyashnyk: A Benefit for Ukraine on Friday, April 8

A benefit for Ukraine will be held on Friday, April 8 at 6:30 pm in the Cleveland Museum of Art Gartner Auditorium

The event will support the country of Ukraine, its battered cities and its trapped and displaced citizens. This evening of music, art, dance, and poetry will feature Lviv-born concert pianist Emanuel Ax, President of Piano Cleveland Yaron Kohlberg, members of the Cleveland Orchestra William Brian Thornton (cello), Joshua Smith (flute), Robert Woolfrey (clarinet), Isabel Trautwein (viola) and the Omni Quartet, members of Apollo's Fire, the Cleveland Institute of Music Elless Quartet, Ukrainian folk dance ensemble Kashtan and choir Zorya, Alexander Fedoriouk with Harmonia, and many more.

Profits will be split among three organizations on the ground in Ukraine:

1. Cleveland Maidan Association

2. World Central Kitchen

3. Global Giving's Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund
