Jonathan Tedesco graduated from Ashland University in Ohio with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. His research work in the Zagorski group focuses on two major projects, both of which involve the Aβ(1-40) and Aβ(1-42) peptides. The first project explores possible binding interactions between the Aβ peptides and the anti-Potato Virus Y, which is a non-Aβ specific antibody. This project uses techniques such as fluorescence and multi-dimensional NMR. The second project will determine the Met35 oxidation rates of the Aβ(1-40) and Aβ(1-42) peptides using HPLC and NMR. John is an avid fisherman and enjoys brewing (and drinking) beer at the BrewKettle.
