Adam Lowe founded in 2001 the multi-disciplinary workshop Factum Arte in Madrid, built around a team of artists, technicians and conservators dedicated to digital mediation; both in the production of works for contemporary artists and in the realization of facsimiles as part of a coherent approach to preservation. The work of Factum Arte is internationally renowned for setting new standards in digital documentation that are redefining the relationship between originality and authenticity. In 2009, Lowe founded the Factum Foundation for Digital Technology in Conservation, dedicated to the development and application of high resolution recording technologies to the preservation, study and dissemination of cultural Heritage. This event is co-sponsored by Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities, CWRU Department of Art History and Art, Cleveland Museum of Art, Kelvin Smith Library, CWRU UTech, and CWRU Think[box].
