You will see at least two icons in front of each webcasting site. The first--and the second if there are three icons--icon represents the software you need to receive that webcasting site. If you not already have that program, you have to click here and then click the corresponding icon for downloading that program. You will be taken to the site where you can download your free software. Typically you have to give your name and e-mail address and select the type of computer--also called platform--and operating system, either PC and Windows 95/Windows 3.x or Mac. When you click the link to, or the file name of, the software, the software will start to be downloaded on to you computer.
Very important is to remember the filename of the program and to know where on your computer the program is downloaded. Most likely, it is downloaded to the directory or folder, which your web browser is located in. So just locate the directory for your Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer> and see if the downloaded file is there. It is also possible that the file is not there. Then you have to locate the file by searching the directories. On a Macintosh, go to File->Find or press Command-key and f-key for Find and type in the filename to locate the file. On a PC, you can go to File->Search in File Manager for Windows 3.x or Star->Programs->Windows Explorer to run a search for the program. A good idea for Windows 95 based PC or a Macintosh is to create a folder called "Install" or so on the Desktop and download the program to this folder. This way, you can find your downloads very easily.>
Before downloading, the program is compressed as a zip file (*.zip) or a self-executable file (*.exe) for PC. If you already have installed WinZip on your PC or Stuffit or MacBinary on your Macintosh, you probably don't have to decompress the file. Otherwise, you have to do this. If you downloaded an self-executable file, double-click this file to run the self-execution. Then double-click the "setup" file to install the program. From now on, you can follow the instructions to finish the installation. Once the installation is done, you have to reboot your computer to use the new program.< /p>
