Rebecca Benard, PHD
Instructor of Biology
Rebecca Benard has been a member of the Department of Biology at Case Western Reserve University since 2009. She earned her PhD from the University of California, Davis. Her graduate work focused on the mechanisms driving the seedling establishment of a desert perennial shrub (Ericameria nauseosa: Asteraceae) in the sand-dune ecosystem at Mono Lake, CA. More recently Dr. Benard has focused her attention on science education. In particular, using interactive teaching methods in the classroom.
