The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF), in collaboration with the Intramural Programs of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institute of Aging (NIA), is pleased to issue a Request for Applications (RFA) for collaborative projects to focus on Aging and Cancer. Projects must include collaborations between an extramural investigator and an intramural investigator from the NIA or NCI. Proposals must justify the partnership through synergistic scientific aims. Awards will provide up to $100,000/year to each PI for up to two years. One nomination will be accepted from the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center (encompassing all consortium institutions within the Case CCC).

INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS:
Investigators should submit Letter of Intent (one page, use provided template) and an NIH-style biosketch through this InfoReady application form by Monday, April 11, 2022.
Case Comprehensive Cancer Center leadership will review all applicants. The Case CCC nominee will be selected and the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation informed of the selection by April 18, 2022. If invited by the Foundation to submit a full application, the selected nominee will work with their department research administrators and the Case CCC to submit full applications to the sponsor before July 11, 2022.
Applicants must hold a full-time, tenure-track (or equivalent) appointment.
Applicants must identify an NIH collaborator. Potential intramural investigators with whom investigators outside the NIH may partner may be found by searching the website of the NCI Centers for Cancer Research or the intermural program of the National Institute of Aging.
