Andrea has worked in higher education for over 10 years. Prior to her role at the Mather Center, Andrea worked at the Marvin Center for Student Leadership at Bowling Green State University, providing leadership programming to undergraduate students. Andrea also served as an academic advisor at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She is passionate about helping students discover and articulate who they are and make intentional plans for their future through serving others and contributing to a public good. She is most looking forward to continuing Flora Stone Mather’s historic legacy by helping to advancing gender equity at CWRU.

Andrea earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and a graduate certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Bowling Green State University. Her dissertation research centered on the effect of art and design school on undergraduate students’ identity development. She also holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Social Studies Education from Kent State University as well as a graduate certificate in College Student Development & Counseling from Northeastern University.
