Christina R. Welter, DrPH (CAS ‘98)
Dr. Christina Welter is a clinical assistant professor of community health sciences of the UIC School of Public Health and director of the MidAmerica Center for Public Health Practice. She also is associate director of the school’s DrPH Program in Leadership and an IHRP Fellow. She leads the training core of the Illinois Prevention Research Center, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Prior to joining UIC faculty, she was deputy director of Cook County Department of Public Health’s Prevention Services Unit. She earned her doctorate in public health leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010 and holds an MPH degree from the University of Michigan.
