Sue Friedman Klarreich, PhD (GRS '64, '73)

Sue Klarreich, M.A., Ph.D. (CWRU) has dedicated a major portion of her professional life to the educational and economic equity for girls and women. As a long time resident of California she served as AAUW (American Association of University Women) Developer/Project Director for TECH TIME: After school, hands-on Science Club for 4-6th grade girls, TEAM ( Technical Experience and Mentoring): Summer internship for high school girls at tech companies, THE XX FACTOR; WHY AREN'T THERE MORE WOMEN IN SCIENCE: A Community-wide Conference for educators,parents and community leaders. Before returning to her native Cleveland, she received the AAUW Status of Women Award. She is particularly dedicated to the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women’s WISER program.
