A letter from President Barbara R. Snyder
To our graduates, their families and friends:
Once again, it is time to welcome you to one of Case Western Reserve University’s most treasured traditions—the celebration of our graduates at our commencement ceremonies and the recognition of the extraordinary scholarly achievements of the Class of 2017. Our graduates will join our esteemed faculty and staff in their regalia and process together as a symbol of the culmination of the excellent education they have received while students here. It is also an opportunity for our graduates to reflect on and acknowledge our faculty and staff not only for imparting knowledge, but also for inspiring their future endeavors.
Just as importantly, commencement is a time for our graduates to thank family and friends who supported them and contributed to their success.
I look forward to learning of the future accomplishments of the members of the Class of 2017, for they will leave here well prepared for what awaits them, such as pursuing another degree, beginning a new job, or entering military service. As our graduates join an impressive group of more than 110,000 alumni, I encourage them to remain connected to Case Western Reserve through our impressive alumni network both here in the United States and worldwide.
For now, I hope you enjoy a truly wonderful weekend full of meaningful and memorable festivities. I look forward to congratulating the Class of 2017 during our commencement convocation.
Barbara R. Snyder
