School of Law, Gund Hall, Student Lounge (Upper Level) Graduates can be measured for their regalia and can register to participate in commencement ceremonies.

Grad Fair 2019 Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 28

May 2019, August 2019, and January 2020 graduates can pick up tickets in person. Convocation & Diploma Ceremony tickets will be mailed to August 2018 and January 2019 graduates who registered for commencement.

Fee Payment Deadline Friday, May 10   Be sure that all your financial obligations to the university, including outstanding tuition and any parking or library fines, are paid. Diplomas will be withheld until financial obligations are met.

Irene Sogg Gross Service Award

Nominations will open in March for the 2019 Irene Sogg Gross Service Award. Click here to submit a nomination

This award was established by Milton Gross to honor the memory of his wife, a Mandel School graduate in the class of 1940. It is given to a member of the graduating class, chosen by his or her peers, “in recognition of outstanding interest and accomplishments in the areas of humanitarian service.” A plaque and a small cash award will be presented at the commencement ceremonies to the student named by his or her classmates.
 

Graduate Diploma Ceremony Speaker Nomination

Graduates can nominate a classmate to speak on behalf of the Class of 2019 at the Diploma Ceremony by completing this Google form. Nominations must be submitted by April 12. 

 

Outstanding Field Instructor Award

This is your opportunity to recognize one individual as an outstanding field instructor. Complete the online nomination form. Deadline is Friday, April 5, 2019. 

 

Outstanding Teacher (MNO Program) Award

The MNO Teaching Award is presented to an individual or individuals who demonstrate dedication to the development of MNO students and their educational experience as demonstrated in the following areas:

  1. Creation of a dynamic, high impact learning environment within the classroom.
  2. Demonstration of effective and engaging teaching methods.
  3. Encouragement and guidance toward life-long learning. 
  4. Exceptional accessibility, assistance, and guidance given to individual students in helping to resolve questions and problems.

All MNO and MNO/MSSA students are eligible and encouraged to submit a nomination.

John A. Yankey Outstanding Adjunct Teacher Award

Nominate an adjunct educator who demonstrates outstanding teaching skills through his/her ability to inspire.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION

  1. Class materials, readings and assignments are timely and demonstrate an awareness of current issues.
  2. Available to students for consultation and gives adequate feedback on assignments.
  3. Acts as an advocate for people in need.
  4. Promotes the School in the community.
  5. Represents the ideals, values and ethics important to the social work profession.
  6. You must have taken his/her class between March, 2018 and March, 2019. 

Complete the online nomination form. Deadline is Friday, April 12, 2019.
