Leena Palomo is an associate professor of periodontics and director of the Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry program in periodontics. She studies links between periodontal and systemic health in postmenopausal women. She has served as a consultant to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for clinical trials. She lectures internationally and has published more than 50 academic articles, abstracts and book chapters.

Research Projects

Her research focuses on the link between periodontal and systemic health in post-menopausal women: from periodontal disease risks, and treatment to diagnostic imaging.  She has served as a consultant for FDA clinical trials; lectures nationally and internationally and has published over 50 articles, abstracts and chapters in multidisciplinary professional journals.
