Kimberly S. Springer is the diversity program manager in the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity. A Cleveland native, she received her undergraduate degree in history with a minor in international affairs from Tuskegee University and completed a master's degree in adult learning and development from Cleveland State University.

Springer’s various professional experiences within higher education have allowed her to support students of color while also cultivating inclusive environments for all students, faculty and staff. In her previous roles she was able to identify best practices and provide vision and expertise in the area of cultural- and identity-based services, community engagement and partnership building.

In the diversity program manager role, Springer is responsible for planning programs and facilitating trainings such as the Power of Diversity Speaker series,  Diversity 360, the Change Agent series, and Train the Champion. 

Her current professional and academic interests include mentorship within communities of color, the experiences of second-generation Americans of the African diaspora within higher education, and student activism. She is passionate about several social justice issues and how to build coalitions across communities.

Springer is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

In her personal time, Kimberly enjoys partaking in new foodie adventures and relaxing with her furbaby, Sophie Chanel. She is currently studying to become a Master gardener volunteer.
