As a 2020-21 Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at Case Western Reserve University’s Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship, Starlyn H. Priest joins this panel of talent with cross-industry experience in business and law. With an academic portfolio consisting of a Juris Doctorate from CWRU School of Law, a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Brand Management from Cleveland State University and Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the College of Wooster, her career achievements have been both measurable and progressive, thus bringing unique value as a business leader to the Veale Institute EIR team.
As founder and senior managing partner of Kestada Strategy Consultants LLC., and in her past role working the with IP Venture Clinic at CWRU School of Law, Priest has consulted for and advised corporate clients, senior and executive business teams, entrepreneurs and founders in companies ranging from start-up ventures to large corporations across industries ranging from tech, consumer goods and manufacturing, to financial services, healthcare and telecommunications.
Under the guidance of her effective team leadership, Priest has assisted for-profit, non-profit and public sector clients in driving various strategic initiatives that have helped clients identify new revenue channels that have resulted in organic and strategic business growth for these organizations.
Priest’s legal experience has placed her on diverse business and legal teams, working on engagements involving new venture capital fundraising activities, investment due diligence analysis, USPTO trademark filings, patentability assessments and substantive involvement in complex corporate transactions including M&A deals. With her multi-faceted business perspective, Priest is a tremendous asset and client advocate who is passionate about helping organizations achieve their version of success.
As one of the Veale Institute’s new EIRs, Priest is eager to leverage her diverse business experience to assist entrepreneurs, companies, and the start-up community, to drive economic growth in Northeast Ohio, through successful entrepreneurship, venture funding and overall regional innovation.
