Global VCIC

Hosted by University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, Global VCIC (venture capital investment competition) is the world’s largest venture capital competition, boasting over 120 teams of five (or up to six for 2021). Unlike other competitions, at VCIC, students play the role of analysts and investors with about $100 million to invest and real start-ups pitch to them.

For start-ups, VCIC is “an accelerator for the fundraising process” and “the most value for time invested.” Teams are judged by real investors who assess teams on the abilities as venture capitalists and teams can win up to $5,000 at the global finals. Region competitions take place between January and March and global finals take place in April.
