Emeriti

4:00 p.m. Emeriti faculty will robe in the Kalberer Room at Maltz Performing Arts Center. There they will line up in baccalaureate order (earliest to most recent)

4:30 p.m. Emeriti will be guided to the PNC Lobby to join the Platform Party.

Emeriti will follow the Platform Party and lead the faculty outside through the ADA doors to outside of the building. From there the three groups will process around Maltz Performing Arts Center toward the main entrance. Upon entering via the Lerner Lobby, the main entrance to Silver Hall, the group will split and march sing file down the respective aisles and find their seats in the rows closest to the stage.

*If members of the emeriti cannot march the full route with the procession, they can walk directly to the Silver Hall to take their seats.

Faculty

4:00 p.m. Faculty will meet in the PNC Lobby. All faculty should come dressed in their academic regalia.

4:35 p.m. Faculty marshals should exit PNC Lobby through the ADA doors and proceed toward the front of the Maltz Performing Arts Center. The procession will enter MPAC through the Lerner Lobby, once in the lobby the academic procession should enter Silver Hall

The procession will always march double file and enter through center doorways, but will split formation and march single file via the side aisles. The faculty will be seated in the audience in reserved seas in the center section of the orchestra level behind the emeriti.

When faculty lines reach the Grand Foyer, they will pause and allow the emeriti to join the line behind the Platform Party and lead into the main hall.

The procession will always march double file and enter through center doorways, but will split formation and march single file via the side aisles. The faculty will be seated in the audience in reserved seats in the center section of the orchestra level behind the emeriti.

Platform Party

4:00 p.m. Platform party will assemble in the Koch Recital Hall in the Maltz Performing Arts Center. 

4:35 p.m. The Platform Party will lead the Emeriti faculty to the PNC Lobby where they will join the faculty. From that point the Platform Party will guide everyone to the outside exterior lot of the Maltz Performing Arts Center. The group will march two by two up the sidewalk to the main entrance and enter MPAC through the Lerner Lobby where they will wait to begin at 4:45 p.m.

The academic procession will proceed into Silver Hall. The Platform Party will walk down both aisles ending on the stage. The procession will march two abreast, except when reaching the back of the Silver Hall side aisles. At that point the formation will split and march sing file down the respective aisles and up the stage side staircases to the appropriate seats. Each seat on stage will have a name tent to indicate the proper seating arrangement.

The Distinguished University Professors who will be recognized during the 2023 ceremony will march with the platform party and should report to the Koch Recital Hall. Distinguished University Professors recognized prior to 2023 should march with the faculty who line up in the PNC Lobby of the Maltz Performing Arts Center.
