Staff recognition is an important aspect of the environment and culture at Case Western Reserve University. Two formal programs— Party on the Quad and the Staff Service Awards— provide an opportunity to recognize the contributions from the talented and diverse workforce that makes Case Western Reserve a great place to work.

Party on the Quad

Sponsored by the Department of Human Resources and the Staff Advisory Council’s Staff Recognition Committee, the annual Party on the Quad is held each summer to give employees a break and the opportunity to enjoy food, music, karaoke, games and contests.

Staff Service Awards

Each year, a brunch is held to recognize employees with 10, 25 and 35 years of service to the university and to honor the recipients of the President's Award for Distinguished Service as well as the recipient of this year's Robin Kramer SAC Volunteer Award. President Barbara Snyder presented each 10- and 25-year service award recipient with a certificate of recognition along with their gift; 35-year recipients receive a certificate of recognition along with a proclamation from the Board of Trustees. Each distinguished service award honoree receives a certificate of recognition and a check for $1,000. The Robin Kramer SAC Volunteer Award honoree receives a certificate of recognition and a check for $500.
