Orientation Leader Application Process

Eligibility

In order for a you to be eligible for an Orientation Leader position, you must:

  • Be in good academic standing with the university.
  • Be in good judicial standing with the university.

Selection Process

In order for you to be considered for an Orientation Leader position, you must:  

  1. Attend an Orientation Leader Information Session
  2. Submit an Orientation Leader Application
  3. Attend an Orientation Leader Interview

Information Sessions

If you are interested in becoming an Orientation Leader you must attend one of the mandatory virtual Information Sessions to learn about the OL position, time commitments and how to apply to become an Orientation Leader. All times are U.S. Eastern unless otherwise noted.

If you are planning on attending one of the Orientation Leader Information Sessions, please register for the event on CampusGroups by selecting a date listed above.

Application

Once you attend an Orientation Leader Information Session, you will be sent a unique link to the Orientation Leader Application via your CWRU email account. Applications will open on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023. The deadline to complete and submit the online application:

  • Returning Orientation Leaders: Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024 at 11:59pm
  • New Orientation Leaders: Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024 at 11:59pm

Interview Process

Following review of your application you may be offered an interview for the Orientation Leader position. Orientation Leader Interviews will take place Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 through Friday, Feb. 9, 2024 (Returning OLs) & Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024 through Saturday, Mar. 2, 2024 (New OLs). You will be asked to indicate your interview availability during the online application.

Additional Note

If selected for an Orientation Leader position for 2024, please note you will need to complete a Student Employment Packet (if you haven't already done so), which requires you to complete the I-9 Form. To complete the I-9 Form, students will need to have original forms of identification (Passport, Driver's License, Social Security Card, etc.) with them to present to Student Employment when submitting paperwork in person. View instructions for completing the I-9.
