Essential Apps and Systems

Student Information System (SIS) – Just about everything you need to know about yourself as a student is in the SIS portal. Student services available include, but are not limited to, your schedule of classes, registration, grades and transcripts, financial account inquiry, authorized users (parent access) and payments.

My Journey – The easiest way to schedule appointments with experts on campus like: career consultants, pre-professional advisors, academic resources staff, undergraduate research experts in SOURCE and entrepreneurship specialists.

Handshake – With thousands of employers using it to post internship, research and job opportunities, Handshake is a great tool to use to find your next experience on or off campus.

CampusGroups – CampusGroups is Case Western Reserve University’s community-engagement platform and your one-stop shop for involvement and engagement.

Residence Life

Residence Hall Information – Not sure what will be available to you in your residence, or just not sure what to pack? Navigate through the information and resources provided by University Housing to get a better idea of room necessities and what you may need to bring to campus.

Residence Life First-Year Experience – First-year residential students become a member of one of four residential communities (Cedar, Juniper, Magnolia and Mistletoe) upon move-in/check-in before the official start of Orientation. Your residential college plays an integral part in your personal and academic transition to the CWRU community.

CaseOneCard – This is your official identification card, and it’s your access to nearly everything—from checking out books at the Kelvin Smith Library to accessing various on-campus buildings to eating at the dining halls or even at area restaurants. You will receive your CaseOneCard upon move-in/check-in before the official start of Discover programs, as long as you’ve completed the Campus Services & Housing requirements on your Roadmap.

Academic and Professional Support

Academic Resources – Need extra assistance in your classes? Peer tutors, available by appointment, are trained to work with you individually, or within a small group, to help reinforce what you already know, model new ways of learning, monitor your progress over several sessions and help you get ready to approach your professor with specific questions. Many courses also offer Supplemental Instruction sessions led by students who know how to facilitate learning.

Career and Post-Graduation Exploration – Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education equips you with the skills and experiences needed for a fulfilling career or postgraduate education. Explore your career interests, connect with opportunities for experiential education (like undergraduate research, or starting your own business) and meet with pre-professional advisors. Need to polish your resume (or get help drafting your first one)? Sign up for an individual consultation or drop into the Career Lab for the customized assistance you need.
