Anastasia A. Elder joined the Office of General Counsel in 2021. In her practice, Anastasia provides counsel in a range of areas including student affairs, employment matters, and risk management as well as University-wide strategic projects and other higher education issues. Prior to joining the Office, Anastasia held various roles within local government and nonprofit organizations from advising senior administration to representing marginalized communities in housing, and clerkships with a municipal court and prosecutor’s office.
Anastasia earned a B.A. from The Ohio State University and a J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She is an active member of the Norman S. Minor Bar Association and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. She volunteers her service to the community through the CMBA’s 3Rs Program within Cleveland public schools and mentorship through College Now Greater Cleveland.
Outside of work and community engagement, Anastasia enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring the local restaurant scene.
