Welcome and Welcome Back to CWRU!

Fall New Student Orientation

Welcome new Summer and Fall students! We're a little over a month away from Fall Orientation and the start of Fall semester classes! All students who began during the Summer term or are starting in the Fall are invited to the New Graduate Student Orientation on August 20 and 21 by registering via the New Student Checklist.

At Orientation you'll receive valuable info about Diversity 360, Kelvin Smith Library, Access Services, Health and Counseling Services, the CWRU Police, [U]Tech, and more! While attendance is not mandatory this is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about the resources available around campus.

Want to talk about Orientation? We now offer a Live Chat if you go to our Graduate Student Orientation page. If our Orientation coordinator is available to chat, a window will pop up in the lower right corner. The chat is typically staffed during normal business hours a few days each week. If they are unavailable, feel free to call our office at 216-368-4390.

New students! Make sure to upload your photo for your student ID card by Wednesday, July 31! Information on how to upload can be found in the New Student Checklist.

Waiver for the Student Medical and One-to-One Fitness plans

Do you have Health Insurance? If you're already covered, make sure to waive your Student Medical Plan before the end of the drop/add period on September 6 to avoid being charged. Also, every graduate student is automatically enrolled as a member of One-to-One Fitness but if you are not interested you have the option to waive this plan by September 1. If you opted to waive the Student Medical Plan and/or the One-to-One Fitness plan in previous academic years, you must apply again to waive these plans for the 2019-2020 year.

Please note: If are staying on the Student Medical Plan, your coverage year begins August 1.
