Make sure to review our Fall schedule to confirm that you are registered for the correct courses and sections. You are able to change your schedule in SIS up to September 7th (unless it is a dynamically dated course).
Interested in psychology? Enjoy painting in your free time? Perhaps you want to learn programming, brush up on your French or do some creative writing? Get out of your lab and shake things up by taking a course for FREE. Fellowship courses are a great way to broaden your academic portfolio and study something you really enjoy.If you have an approved Program of Study and are registered for the minimum number of credit hours you can apply to take a Fellowship course at no cost to you. If you plan to graduate in January and need a Waiver of Registration, you must 1) submit all graduation materials 2) submit the waiver of registration form (included in the downloadable graduation materials file) 3) apply for graduation in SIS and 4) you must have already defended your thesis/dissertation. Normally, you must be registered for at least 1 credit in the semester you are graduating. However, if you met all of the requirements but missed Summer's deadline, you should fill out a waiver of registration by September 7th to avoid the requirement to enroll in 1 credit.
Advising Hold: Automatically placed on your account twice a year and must be removed by your advisor before you can register for courses.
Financial Preregistration Hold: Placed by Student Financial Services, this is a new hold in SIS. Simply click on the Hold link in your Student Services Center in SIS and walk through the steps to remove it.
Grad Records Hold: Missing Transcripts/Test Scores: Placed by SGS admissions if you have missing documents that need to be submitted. Check the online application system here to view your official offer letter and see what may be missing. Email questions to email@example.com
Grad Records Hold: PPOS Hold: Each student must submit a PPOS though SIS by the end of their second semester. If the PPOS is not complete on time, a registration hold is placed on your account. You will need to submit your PPOS in SIS for your advisor to process. The hold will be processed in the system overnight and you can register the following day.
- Follow these steps to waive your $1,087 per semester Student Medical Plan Fee, you can see if you qualify for the waiver here. *You must waive the Medical Plan Fee every Fall.
- Follow these steps to waive your 1-2-1 Fitness Fee. You must waive the 1-2-1 Fee every semester in SIS.
Have a big idea but need materials or funding? The Sears think[box] Student Project Fund could provide up to $2,500 in material support for personal projects, team projects, entrepreneurial activities or design competitions.

Friday, September 7th- Free ice cream and a chance to meet our new Provost and Executive Vice President Ben Vinson. As a welcome to campus, the new provost and other staff members will be passing out free ice cream on the Binary Walkway on Friday, September 7th at 12:15.
Sunday, September 9th- Join the iPALS Program and partner with other CWRU graduate students across cultures. Their first event of the year is Sunday, September 9th from 1-3pm at Edgewater Beach. The deadline to apply for iPALS is September 25th.
