Professional Development Training Opportunities

Our broad-based curriculum focuses on the professional development needs of Case Western Reserve University staff and faculty. These courses and learning opportunities include in person trainings, live webinars, and on-demand trainings focused on providing guidance and structure to individual contributors and supervisors.

Our offerings curriculum includes:

New Supervisor Program 

The New Supervisor Training Program is a year-long program designed for supervisors who are new to their role – either recently promoted or newly hired supervisors – who have no prior supervisory experience.

  3. Managing Performance: Feedback (Friday, August 13th at 12pm)
  4. Time Management: Meetings (Friday, September 10th at 12pm)

  6. Stress Management (Friday, October 1st at 1pm)
  7. HR Policies: Termination (Friday, October 8th at 12pm)
  8. Time Management: Priorities (Thursday, October 28th at 12pm)
  9. Managing Performance: Coaching (Friday, November 12th at 12pm)
  10. Managing Performance: Annual Evaluations (Thursday, November 18th at 12pm)
  11. Stress Management ( Friday, December 10th at 1pm - second offering - same content as 8/24)
  12. HR Policies: Hiring and Interviewing (Thursday, December 16th at 1 pm)
  13. Onboarding New Employees

The Advanced Supervisor Program is a program for current supervisors to refresh on CWRU policies and common issues. The information is more advanced than the information provided in the New Supervisor Training Program.
