We have established a “Recruit The Best” program. This program is in addition to our on-campus interview and bar association hiring processes, in which rising 3L minority students will be paired to spend two back-to-back five-week stints at two law firms, with the opportunity for permanent hiring. We already have commitments from several law firms. As a variation on this initiative, we are currently in talks with corporate counsels to establish a 1L summer in-house counsel program, and a post-graduate in-house counsel 1-year fellowship for our minority graduates in corporations.
