CWRU law professor engages SEC Commissioner in fire-side chat

On December 9, CWRU Law Professor Anat Alon-Beck (left) joined Hester Peirce (right), a Commissioner of the US Security and Exchange Commission, in a fire-side chat at the second Blockland Solutions Conference at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland. 

During the event, Professor Alon-Beck and Commissioner Peirce, who graduated from CWRU in 1993 with a degree in Economics, discussed the challenges of regulatory compliance in a time of rapid innovation. The video is available online.

Professor Alon-Beck, an expert in corporate law and entrepreneurship, joined CWRU Law School this fall, having previously served as the Jacobson Fellow in Law and Business at New York University School of Law. 

CWRU has been ranked by PreLaw Magazine as one of the top law schools in the nation for Business and Corporate Law, with an "A" grade for the third consecutive year.
