LGBTQA Committee


As a coordinating body, the committee unites representatives of the university's various LGBTQA organizations, key departments and its eight schools. It meets several times during the academic year; meetings are open to all.

The university's LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Allies) Committee is a group of senior administrators, faculty, staff, and graduate and undergraduate students who are committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning people and allies at Case Western Reserve University. 

Committee Mission Statement

The purpose of the LGBTQA committee and website is to serve as a focus for matters of concern to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) persons across the University by providing welcoming, visible, and tangible support; to promote opportunities that increase awareness of LGBTQ life and concerns such as discrimination and harassment; to increase LGBTQ understanding and cultural awareness; to help ensure that University programs and services are inclusive and supportive of LGBTQ individuals, perspectives, and concerns; to provide access to "safe" places, people, and forums for confidential discussion, support, and resource information; and to conduct studies as needed to address these concerns.
