Student Assistant – Public Engagement Services (Marketing)

Job Description: This position is for undergraduate students and will mainly involve work on library marketing projects such as creating flyers & posters, digital marketing, and social media posts. The position also supports the library Administration office staff with general administrative office duties: answering phones, copying, data entry, faxing, filing, greeting visitors, organizing, preparing mailings, reserving rooms, taking messages and other duties as assigned. Some tasks involve physical work including cross-training in the KSL mailroom, running campus errands, and assisting with various events and special projects (room setups and cleanups, sign posting and removal, other event tasks). Availability to work during lunch hours is a plus. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Work study required. Position will be available in fall 2023, with the option to start during the spring 2023 semester. Work during summer 2023 may also be available. Qualifications: Strong office and people skills; Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat); Familiarity with MS Office and Google Docs, Detail-oriented; Ability to work with confidential information; Self-motivated, Ability to multi-task, think creatively and work independently.

Hourly rate: $9.60/hour for Undergraduate
