Can literature written by a Nobel Laureate be successfully adapted to film? Some Laureates have even tried their hand at screenwriting George Bernard Shaw actually won an Oscar for the screenplay of Pygmalion, our first film. Our second film is Away from Her, written and directed by Sarah Polley and based on Nobel Laureate Alice Munro’s short story, The Bear Came over the Mountain. Both the written works and films will be analyzed and discussed.
