Time
10:00AM to 11:30AM ET

In this course, we will learn about some of Picasso’s famous and lesser-known works and his inventive approaches to art. For example, Picasso was known to rub his hands on petals of brightly colored lilies to start a drawing. We will also explore Picasso’s superstitions and coping mechanisms. As someone who feared aging and death, Picasso created art to ward off death, he took clothes from his young son as if his youth might rub off on him, and he engaged in relationships with much younger women as he faced his advancing years. This course will help you discover more about who Picasso really was.
