Beer has shaped and been shaped by numerous cultures throughout history. We will dive into the world of beer by exploring its long history from the ancient Sumerians and Egyptians, through the monastic brewers of the Middle Ages, to the industrial revolution and prohibition, and finally ending with the modern craft beer revolution. We will touch on the brewing process as well as the history of different styles as we move through time with a special look at the history of brewing in Cleveland.
