Italy is the country with a hundred cuisines and thousands of recipes. Its great variety of culinary practices reflects a long history. This seminar will explore the different regional cuisines of Italy in an effort to understand the rich diversity of the Italian Culture. The seminar is in English, however the Italian language will be introduced as well. This part 1 will focus on the northern-central regions of Italy such as Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino Alto-Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, and Tuscany.
