Haftorot are often overlooked gems in Jewish tradition that offer a unique perspective on the Bible. Beyond being powerful standalone scriptural readings, Haftorot are intertextual bridges connecting the Torah to the prophets, providing rich insights into the development of biblical themes. Throughout our exploration of the traditionally selected Haftorot, we will also delve into how the selection of these readings offers unique insights into Jewish history, particularly during and after the Second Temple era, shedding light on the challenges, aspirations, and theological developments of this historical period.
