This course will look at some of the most complex issues in medical ethics and how they have been understood in the rabbinic tradition. Specific topics to be covered include the role of faith; Halachic (legal) views of the physician and medicine; marriage and birth control; abortion; transgender/ LGBTQ Issues; defining death and dying; and euthanasia.
