Boundary-breaking, beloved, revered, misunderstood, Emily Dickinson remains one of the foremost geniuses of American poetry. In this 6-week course we will explore a range of Emily Dickinson’s poetry. Each week we will read and discuss poetry on a different theme including her “riddle” poems, the master poems, the wife poems, and poems about nature, hearth and home, and inner life. We will consider biographical challenges and recent research into Dickinson’s life and work.
