Mary Oliver’s poem “Good-Bye Fox” begins with the line “He was lying under a tree, licking up the shade.” A surprising line and one that captures the delight of the new perceptions poetry brings to those who play with words. Each week we share work, giving and receiving helpful feedback. Bring 12 copies of a poem you have written to the first class.
This course is offered with the generous support of the Association for Continuing Education.
