Most people take their citizenship for granted. But for our ancestors and so many people coming to America, becoming a citizen is the most important moment of their life. Article I, Section 8, paragraph 4, of the U.S. Constitution states that “Congress shall have the power ... To establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization ...” This course will examine the 10-step naturalization process and discuss the history and consequences of this process.

This course is generously supported by the Association for Continuing Education.
