Climate Crises are with us every day!  Understanding how the earth got this way and how we can live with (adapt) and mitigate these climate crises is the topic for Lecture Day 2023.

David Pogue, is an Emmy Award Winning technology and science writer, CBS Sunday Morning presenter, as well as PBS host of numerous NOVA specials.  He will draw upon research for his recent book “How to Prepare for Climate Change:  A Practical Guide…”, to discuss practical adaptation to climate change.

Dr. Philip Taylor, CWRU Distinguished University Professor Emeritus and Perkins Professor of Physics will discuss how climate systems are interconnected through feedback loops and extreme greenhouse effects caused by excess CO2 in the atmosphere.  Mitigation is not too late!

This lecture will be moderated by Peter Shulman, PhD, Associate Professor of History, CWRU.
