ORIGINS SCIENCE SCHOLARS: WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH GRAVITY AND QUANTUM MECHANICS? (IN-PERSON)

Lecturer(s)
Kurt Hinterbichler
Associate Professor, Physics, CWRU
Location
CWRU, Thwing Center
Date
Tuesday October 08
Time
5:30-8 p.m. ET

Dr. Kurt Hinterbichler is a theoretical physicist with a wide range of interests, encompassing the fundamental building blocks of nature, quantum fields, the early universe, extra dimensions, and modifications of General Relativity, Einstein’s theory of gravity. For this talk, he will help us understand the challenge of reconciling the two fundamental theories of modern physics -- quantum mechanics and relativity.
