This trip is a rare opportunity to tour Berlin with faculty experts in both European art and German history. Enjoy a week-long journey gathering insights and awareness into a city with a dynamic history of art and culture. Explore a variety of museums and locations, experience a German concert, and enjoy cuisine unique to the area and much more.

Deposit and Cancellation Terms:

  • Deposit Amount: $2,000
  • Final Payment Due Date: January 30, 2016
  • Written cancellation received by CWRU on or before February 11, 2016: full refund minus $550 per person administrative fee
  • Written cancellation received by CWRU on or between February 12 - April 7, 2016: $2,500 per person cancellation charge (includes administrative fee)
  • Cancellations received on or after April 8, 2016: no refund

Day 1: Friday, June 10
Morning: Arrival and transfer independently to hotel for check-in
Afternoon: Welcome & group lunch, bus tour
Evening: Welcome dinner

Day 2: Saturday, June 11
Morning: Faculty-led morning discussion, Deutsches Historisches Museum, Humboldtbox/Stadtschloss, Nikolaikirche
Evening: Free

Day 3: Sunday, June 12 
Morning: Day trip to Postsdam, stop at Bridge of Spies, Sanssouci Park
Afternoon: Group lunch at Jagdschloss Grunewald, Brucke Museum, Return to Berlin
Evening: Free

Day 4: Monday, June 13 
Morning: Gendarmenmarkt/Museum Island: Neues Pergamon
Afternoon: Group lunch, Jewish Museum, Topography of Terror
Evening: Free 

Day 5: Tuesday, June 14 
Morning: Germaldegalerie
Afternoon: Lunch on own, Hamburger Bahnhof
Evening: Classical Concert or Opera (TBD)

Day 6: Wednesday, June 15 
Morning: Guest lecture, Museum Island: Altes
Afternoon: Group lunch, Optional trip: German-Russian Museum and Soviet War Memorial

Day 7: Thursday, June 16 
Morning: Guest Lecture, Bus to Berggruen Museum
Afternoon: River Cruise, free afternoon w/optional tours
