Multiple Brainstem and Cerebellar Infarctions: Diffusion-weighted MRIs. Note the bright signal indicating acute infarctions in numerous areas: bilateral cerebellar, pons, right thalamus, and right occipital lobe. MRA demonstrated normal vertebral and basilar arteries. These strokes presumably occurred from an embolus to the basilar artery, either from the heart or aorta. |
