Asian American Heritage Month At A Glance
Presentation: Healing in Solidarity and Community Support | Tuesday, May 23 | 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM
Attend the virtual 45-minute presentation and Q&A with Naomi Sigg, MS, Vice President for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at John Carroll University, titled "Healing in Solidarity and Community Support". The hybrid presentation is offered in the BRB105 Frohring Auditorium or via Zoom on May 23, 2023, from 12:15 PM- 1:00 PM.

Asian American Heritage Month Cultural Festival | Tuesday, May 23 | 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Following the 45-minute presentation, the Culture Festival features AAPI-inspired lunch and a range of activities such as live dance performances, tea tasting, origami, a Kendo demonstration, and National Kidney Foundation health screenings and Q&A with UH physicians.

Mental Health Awareness Month
Restorative Justice Practice: Eliminating Harm in Academic Medicine | Thursday, May 25 | Noon- 1:00 PM
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence VITALS Series and the Department of Medicine, present The Austin S. Weisberger Lecture 2023 "Restorative Justice Practice Eliminating Harm in Academic Medicine".
Presenters -Juri Sanchez, MSW - Associate Director, Restorative Justice Practices, University of California -San Francisco and Corina Iacopetti, MD, MA - Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, University of California at San Francisco. The lecture will be held on Zoom on May 25, 2023 from Noon - 1:00PM.
Lecture is open to the public and shared with faculty, staff and students at the School of Medicine, the university and our hospital affiliate partners: Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth System, University Hospitals and the Cleveland Veteran Affairs Medical Center.
