Matthew Lester is the Vice Dean for Finance and Administration at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Medicine and the University Chief Financial Officer, Matthew is responsible for the long- and short-term planning, implementation and oversight of strategic finance and budget resources and processes throughout the School of Medicine. This includes oversight of the $0.5 billion operating budget with 80+ academic departments and centers and spanning four major clinical affiliates. He oversees the Office of Enrollment Management at the School and is the lead architect for the robotic process automation initiative at the School.
Matthew joined CWRU in 2016 after serving as the Deputy Dean for Finance and Administration at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and 14 years in management consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Huron Consulting Group. He holds an MBA and MHA from the Pennsylvania State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is a licensed CPA in the State of Ohio.
