Research Interests

I have a broad background in physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, with extensive experience in the design, implementation, and application of molecular biology for study of cardiovascular diseases.My research includes hypertension, heart failure, metabolism, and immunity.

My current efforts are focused on

  • Transcriptional regulation of cardiac metabolism and mitochondrial biology
  • Roles of myeloid cells in cardiovascular health and diseases
  • The role of autophagy in metabolism adaptation.
