Postdoctoral Training

The Department of Neurosciences at Case Western Research University offers in-depth and state-of-the-art training in modern neuroscience.

Postdoctoral scholars in the Department of Neurosciences flourish in an academically rich environment, supported by a strong sense of community between faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students. Postdoctoral scholars who have received training in Neurosciences at CWRU have published quality and impactful peer-reviewed research and thereby have made substantial contributions to the field of neuroscience. Postdoctoral scholars at CWRU have also successfully competed for external funding, including training fellowships, and have successfully transitioned from CWRU to begin independent careers in academia, industry, and other thriving sectors.

Postdoctoral training in Neurosciences is facilitated by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. Among other functions, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs assists postdoctoral applicants and faculty mentors in issuing letters of appointment, orientation, extensions of appointments, and administration of the competitive postdoctoral benefits program.
