A Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN) is evolving to include a group of medical or medically related professional practices or practitioners principally devoted to the care of patients. These practices or practitioners are affiliated with each other in order to more effectively understand the health care processes that take place in everyday practice. The PBRN Shared Resource provides infrastructure support to various types of practice-based research networks.
