Suggestions for Authors (What Makes a Story PHAB?)

The PHAB Stories Project illustrates unique collaborations and innovative boundary-spanning actions that have had a positive impact on the health of an individual, family, or community.

Each story must describe:

  • a boundary–spanning action or result
  • an impact on health.

In addition, like all good narratives, PHAB stories convey the “story behind the story,” including:

  • the motivation, purpose and inspiration behind the work
  • details: the people, place, timeline, background, strategy, work
  • quotes to support key points
  • observations
