Throughout her career, she has worked with Physician Assistant students in the classroom and on clinical rotations. She has been involved for many years in the education of interdisciplinary teams that included nursing and medical student learners. Her medical mission work has involved working with these student learners in both Central and South America.

Professor Ivansek has lectured national and international in the areas of travel medicine, vaccines and infectious disease. She has helped author texts for Physician Assistant board review and works as a clinical content reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She remains active in the Ohio Association of Physicians Assistants and has held leadership roles within the association.

Professor Ivansek is the recipient of the 2018 Hudson Award. The Hudson award was presented to her  by the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants for exemplary service to the PA profession and the community and for furthering the image of Physician Assistants throughout her career.
